You have now completed Introduction to Fundraising for Volunteers. Let’s draw together the key points. Fundraising is about bringing in money and support so your organisation can continue its work. Volunteers can contribute in many ways, from events and sponsored activities to behind‑the‑scenes support. You have clear boundaries: you help with agreed activities and follow guidance; you are not responsible for strategy, legal decisions or taking risks. Safe, ethical fundraising involves permissions, clear money‑handling processes and honest communication. Telling the story of your cause in simple, authentic language can inspire others to get involved. Starting with a small, realistic idea – and a basic plan – is a great way to begin. As a next step, you might: Talk to your organisation about how volunteers can get involved in fundraising. Share one or two ideas you have for future activities. Offer to help with an existing campaign or event to build your confidence. Thank you for taking the time to learn about fundraising. Your contribution as a volunteer can help bring in vital resources and keep important work going.
